Episode 8: Adah Fitzgerald

Donna and Rachel are friends who aren't afraid to ask questions, laugh loudly, obsess freely and covet vintage items. The pair created the Smart Mouth Life Podcast to celebrate women who run their mouths and the world.

Adah is proprietor of Main Street Books, an independent bookstore in Davidson, NC which Mental Floss magazine named "Best Bookstore in NC" in 2019.

Adah spent 13 years teaching high school biology at independent schools in the Davidson area before embarking on her entrepreneurial journey. The relationships she built with families in those teaching years are the foundation for the success of her small town bookshop that depends on the trust and commitment of a well-read staff that values literacy for all.

She currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Southeastern Independent Booksellers Alliance.
